Numerous organizations exist in Fluvanna County that need volunteers and numerous residents are looking for volunteer opportunities. That is why Fluvanna County Administration and the Fluvanna County Schools have partnered with the United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area to promote volunteerism in Fluvanna County.
The Volunteer Center at United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area offers an online system to connect potential volunteers with the opportunity to meet community needs through nonprofit organizations, schools and government agencies. The system is searchable by keyword, interest area, population served and more, with opportunities for youth, adults, seniors, groups and families. Whether you are looking for a one time project or long-term commitment, or whether you want to be a mentor, receptionist, or dog-walker, there is something for everyone.
