The Overall purpose of this committee will include the following:

1. To include the public in the decision process concerning water supply for the county;
2. To revisit the decision process and identify the objectives, alternatives and proposed solution;

The objectives assigned in previous Board of Supervisors' Meetings and directives include:

1. Provide a reliable source of water to the Fork union Sanitary District;
2. Provide water to the growth areas (as Shown on the Comprehensive Plan) within the County;
3. Provide water to the Schools in the County;
4. Do not add any additional stress to the Rivanna River by using it as a long term source.
